In order to keep in step with innovation and anticipate the orientations of international market, Pratotrade has established its own Trend Research Center that carries out research in every sector of fashion and market trends, processing useful information with regard to fashion and consumer orientations in the world: it is a fundamental reference for the preparation of new sample collections for its members. The companies, in their various and specialized ways, follow these indications to achieve high levels of fashion content and quality.
The trend research is the starting point for their inspiration of the extraordinary creations presented by the producers of the most famous trademarks of fashions made in Italy.
Consortium management:
Pratotrade was created in 1979 as an initiative of the Industrial Association of Prato. It is a consortium of 120 companies operating in the textile and apparel sector, producing apparel fabrics for men, women and children, selected on the basis of the style features and the quality of their products.
Pratotrade organizes and manages Prato Expo, one of the most important trade fairs in the sector at the international level for apparel fabrics, held twice each year, in February and September, within Milano Unica – The Italian Textile Fair.
The business of the Consortium is to promote the marketing of its members' textile products, by providing them with technical, logistical and organizational services. It also coordinates the promotional activities in Italy and abroad of the member companies, promoting, in the meantime, the entire textile district of Prato.
